This summer has been full of heart-wrenching goodbyes for Liverpool and this time it is the manager of the youth team, Barry Lewtas.
Last summer, Jurgen Klopp and many others of his supporting staff left the Reds after a heartbreaking farewell.
With the beginning of the Arne Slot era at Merseyside, the club reached another height by winning the PL title in their first season under the new head coach.
However, the Anfield side have also faced loss off the pitch with Trent Alexander-Arnold moving out for free.
Now, this latest update has again served as a setback.

Barry Lewtas, the Liverpool U21 team manager since 2020 has parted ways with Liverpool after being associated with the club for 12 years.
Confirming the news through the official website, the club wished him luck in his future endeavours.
The English manager said via the official website, “Sometimes you just know the time is right for a new adventure and I really feel the perfect time for me is now.
Of course, I’m sad to be moving on but I also have 12 wonderful years to look back on, including the last five with the U21s.
Seeing young players make that next step to the LFC first team or moving on to success elsewhere is hugely satisfying.
“I want to give a massive thanks to all the staff I’ve worked with throughout the age groups, to all the players who have been part of those teams and also to their parents, who are often forgotten about but play such a vital role in making sure their sons can reach their full potential.
Everything I’ve ever done has been about the team and they have all helped make the journey as special as it has been.
Now I’m looking forward to being a fan from afar and full of energy and excitement for what comes next.”
Alex Inglethorpe, the Liverpool Academy director wished him as well by saying, “Barry’s influence has been felt at so many age groups in the Academy and he leaves with our very best wishes… I’d like to thank Barry for everything he has contributed to life at the Academy, both on and off the pitch, and I know everyone at the club will wish him well in his exciting journey to come.”

The 44-year-old joined the Reds in 2013 from Bolton Wanderers after working 10 years with youngsters at Wigan Athletic and Bolton.
Barry took charge of the U12 team at the Kirkby Academy and then moved up to managing the U15 and U16 teams.
By July 2018, he started managing the U18 team which was previously being managed by Steven Gerrard.
In the first season of his charge, the young LFC team lifted the FA Youth Cup by defeating Manchester City on penalties.
Lewtas also took charge of the U19 side in the UEFA Youth League.
He was one of the most crucial contributors to Jurgen Klopp’s philosophy of integrating youth talents into senior team.
As a result of these two working hand-in-hand throughout the years, we now see players like Curtis Jones, Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliott, Jarell Quansah, Vitezslav Jaros, James McConnell, Tyler Morton, and others shine on the big stage.
Now as the position of the Liverpool youth team manager is vacant, there are shouts of Stevie G returning to reprise his role at the youth team, after rejecting a recent managerial job at Rangers.
And for Barry Lewtas, there are rumours circulating about him joining the youth side of City as Klopp’s former deputy Pep Lijnders and analyst James French have also joined Pep Guardiola’s workforce.
